2 years agoSan Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado (hand) was removed from Monday's contest early against the Kansas City Royals after he was hit by a pitch in his hand by right-hander Brad Keller. We will know more on Machado's condition after he undergoes X-rays on Monday night, so you'll want to check back soon. Losing the 30-year-old superstar for any amount of time would be devastating for the Padres and fantasy managers alike. Before leaving the contest, Machado was 0-for-1 with an RBI, and he's now hitting a disappointing .231 on the year. Rougned Odor entered the game for Machado, and he would likely see more regular playing time in San Diego if Machado needs to go on the injured list.
