Anthony DeSclafani Has A Toe Injury
2 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Anthony DeSclafani exited Saturday's game against the Diamondbacks. There wasn't much information surrounding his premature departure at the time. However, Maria Guardado of MLB.com provided an update, indicating the right-hander got pulled because of a left toe injury. Guardado added that the injury is pre-existing and occurred several weeks ago at home after he dropped a piano bench on it. The 33-year-old has a 3-3 record in eight starts this season. He's also amassed a 3.06 ERA and 35 strikeouts in 50 innings. That said, the issue doesn't sound severe, so hopefully, he'll be back on the bump for his next scheduled start.
