Ross Chastain Has Quiet Day Until After The Race
2 years agoIt seems that every weekend someone has an issue with Ross Chastain on the track. But this weekend, Noah Gragson had an issue with Chastain, both on and off the track. While Chastain was running in the top five, Gragson was running in the lower-20s, yet they were beside each other on the final laps. There was some back and forth on the track, as Chastain says he "got tight off of (turn) 4, for sure," which caused him to crowd Gragson up into the wall. Gragson was not happy and came to Chastain after the race to show his displeasure. Words were exchanged, and Chastain landed a right hook to Gragson. Security quickly intervened and both drivers went their separate ways. This should make for an interesting meeting in the Chevrolet camp this week. Chastain rounded out the top five in the AdventHealth 400, finishing fifth.
