2 years agoThe Chicago White Sox placed infielder Jake Burger (oblique) on the 10-day injured list on Thursday with a strained left oblique and recalled infielder Lenyn Sosa from Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding move. Burger injured himself during a swing on Wednesday night and will likely miss more than 10 days on the injured list. It's terrible timing for the 27-year-old, as he was seeing regular time at the hot corner with Yoan Moncada (back) on the injured list. With Moncada still out, Hanser Alberto will likely see most of the starts at third base in the short term. Sosa is also starting at second base on Thursday and is hitting eighth in the lineup against Twins right-hander Pablo Lopez with Tim Anderson taking a day off.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
