Jalin Hyatt Looking To Beef Up
2 years agoNew York Giants rookie wide receiver Jalin Hyatt said he's around 180 pounds right now and would like to get to and play at around 190 pounds in his first season in the NFL in 2023. Hyatt also isn't worried that a little more weight will mean less speed. "Nah. That speed's gonna stay with me. I was born with it," Hyatt said. The Giants selected the 21-year-old pass-catcher in the third round of this year's draft to help beef up their receiving corps. Because of his high-end speed, Hyatt is expected to work mostly as a downfield threat to stretch opposing defenses out. Hyatt certainly has an opportunity in his first NFL season, but the G-Men also have Wan'Dale Robinson, Isaiah Hodgins, Darius Slayton and Parris Campbell in the fold at receiver, so it's likely that Hyatt will be inconsistent in his production for fantasy managers in single-year leagues.
