Travis d'Arnaud Continues To Recover From Concussion
2 years agoAtlanta Braves catcher Travis d'Arnaud (concussion), who has had four concussions, remains on the injured list while recovering from his latest head injury on April 8 during a collision at the plate. d'Arnaud has dealt with serious headaches, and the Braves aren't pushing him to get back sooner than recommended. He's getting closer to a return, but there have still been some difficult days. The good news is catcher Sean Murphy hit two home runs and had a career-high six RBI in Game 1 of a doubleheader against the Mets on Monday, and he's caught 16 of 20 games since d'Arnaud's injury. The 34-year-old d'Arnaud could be back in a week or two, although there remains no timetable for his return. Once he's back, he figures to split catching duties with Murphy in Atlanta. He'll be cleared by doctors when he's symptom-free during and after full workouts.
