Oscar Colas Optioned Amid Lengthy Slump
2 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Oscar Colas has been optioned to Triple-A amid a lengthy slump at the big-league level. The 24-year-old Colas is in a 5-for-40 skid while he's hitting just .211 with one homer, two steals, and a .541 OPS across 84 plate appearances on the season. It's certainly a disappointing circumstance considering how Colas breezed through three minor-league levels last season. He spent the bulk of his time between High-A and Double-A, hitting .306 with 14 homers and a .927 OPS at Double-A prior to raking in a brief seven-game stint at Triple-A. Infielder Lenyn Sosa was also sent to the minors as part of a flurry of roster moves made by the White Sox on Tuesday.
