Ross Stripling Strikes Out Five In Monday's Start
2 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Ross Stripling picked up a no-decision in Monday's 7-3 loss to the Houston Astros when he allowed two runs on five hits while walking none and striking out five over his five innings of work. Stripling has now had back-to-back impressive starts for the Gigantes. Three of his six appearances so far in 2023 have been out of the bullpen, and he's currently sporting a bloated 6.10 ERA (6.20 FIP), 1.45 WHIP, five walks and 19 strikeouts in his 20 2/3 innings pitched. With left-hander Alex Wood (hamstring) on the injured list, Stripling looks primed to remain in the team's starting rotation, which makes him valuable in deep-mixed and NL-only fantasy leagues.
