De'Aaron Fox Wins First-Ever Clutch Player Of The Year Award
2 years agoSacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox has officially won the first-ever Clutch Player of the Year award for the 2022-23 regular season. Among all the players in the league that played at least 10 games in clutch time, Fox averaged the most points with 5.0 per game and had one of the best records at 22-17. According to NBA.com, clutch time is the last five minutes of a game where the score difference is five points or less. During that time, Fox also shot 52.9% from the floor, 31.8% from three, and 86.0% from the line. He beat out the other popular candidates, DeMar DeRozan and Jimmy Butler, by 0.3 and 1.5 points per game respectively.
