Kyle Manzardo Heating Up
2 years agoTampa Bay Rays first base prospect Kyle Manzardo continued to stay hot on Tuesday for Triple-A Durham. The first baseman went 2-for-4 with a RBI and walk in the contest and is now hitting .283 with a .923 OPS to go along with three homers and eight RBI. After a slow start to the season, Manzardo has turned things around lately and it shouldn't be a surprise to managers that have been following him. An on-base machine throughout his minor league career, Manzardo was able to develop a power stroke last season and that has carried over to 2023. The Rays mix and match at the big-league level, but Manzardo fits their philosophy too well to not be considered in 2023. If promoted, his playing time would be the biggest issue, but he would be well worth taking a risk with in all formats.
