Brandon Nimmo Nails Go-Ahead Double Versus Oakland
2 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo led his team to a 3-2 win over Oakland on Saturday. The 30-year-old went 2-for-4. However, his most significant accomplishment on the day was a go-ahead RBI double in the seventh, which eventually sealed the deal. The Mets have now won three-straight games, with Nimmo one of the players responsible. He's batting .289 this season with 12 hits. He also had eight RBI, with five coming in the last three games. He'll look to close out the series with the A's versus JP Sears. Nimmo has gone 2-for-3 lifetime against the lefty, although he'd be a must-start regardless of who is on the bump based on his stellar play of late.
