Quinnen Williams Looking For Big Payday
2 years agoAccording to ESPN's Rich Cimini, New York Jets defensive tackle Quinnen Williams may seek an annual salary of around $25 million per season. Williams, drafted with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, amassed 191 total tackles (118 solo) in his four seasons in New York. His resume also has 27.5 sacks, including compiling a career-high 12 during the 2022-23 campaign. The 25-year-old has expressed his desire for a new deal heading into the season. However, if Williams doesn't receive one, there's a chance he won't report to any team activities, including training camp. The Jets hope to be competitive come September, especially if the organization finally lands Aaron Rodgers, so signing Williams before things get nasty is probably in the team's best interest.
