Ian Happ Gets Three-Year Extension From Cubs
2 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ has inked a three-year, $61 million contract extension with the club that will run from 2024-2026. One of the more underrated players in the game, Happ was scheduled to hit the open market this winter but instead appears set for another three seasons in the Windy City. The 28-year-old is off to a red-hot start to the season, hitting .314 with one homer, four doubles, one steal, a 22.2% BB, and .981 OPs across 45 trips to the plate. One of the better all-around bats is officially off the free-agent market this winter.
