Dansby Swanson Leaves Game Early Tuesday
2 years agoChicago Cubs shortstop Dansby Swanson (side) left the game on Tuesday against the Seattle Mariners with left side tightness. Swanson departed the contest in the sixth inning, but he also had four singles before leaving, becoming the second Cubs player to have four hits in the first five innings of a game in the last 15 years. Nico Hoerner moved over to shortstop and Nick Madrigal entered the game to play second base. Hopefully, Swanson's injury doesn't require a trip to the injured list, as he has a .400 average and a .467 on-base percentage so far this year after his four hits on Tuesday night. Swanson also had two RBI and a run scored in the game. We should know more on his condition on Wednesday, but fantasy managers probably shouldn't expect him to be in the lineup a day later.
