Jaden McDaniels Fractures Hand
2 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels (hand) was ruled out of Sunday's meeting with the Pelicans. The 22-year-old injured his hand after punching a wall heading toward the locker room, apparently stemming from a physical altercation between Rudy Gobert and Kyle Anderson. Unfortunately, the news isn't good, as McDaniels fractured his right hand, meaning he probably won't be available for Tuesday's play-in matchup with the Lakers. He averaged 12.2 points and 3.9 rebounds this season and also appeared in 78 games, so the team hasn't had much experience being without him in 2022-23. Nevertheless, Anderson will likely replace McDaniels in the starting lineup if he doesn't suit up. There's also a chance Taurean Prince, who had 18 points versus New Orleans, will continue to benefit from a production standpoint.
