Grayson Rodriguez Promoted To Majors
2 years agoThe Baltimore Orioles are calling up top prospect Grayson Rodriguez to the big-league club, and he'll join the team on Wednesday. The left-handed starter has yet to make his debut but was a real candidate to make the rotation out of camp. After fellow starter Kyle Bradish (foot) left Monday's contest with a foot contusion, the Orioles needed another arm. Rodriguez's first start in Triple-A didn't go very well, as he gave up two earned runs over four innings with a pair of strikeouts and four walks. The 23-year-old has incredible potential, though, and fantasy managers should pick him up wherever they can, as he owns a career 35.9% strikeout rate over five years in the minors. It isn't clear when Rodriguez will make his first start for the O's, but he'll likely get Wednesday's game against the Texas Rangers.
