Casey DeSmith Named The Starter Tuesday
2 years agoOn Sunday, Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Casey DeSmith put on an impressive show, halting 31 of the 34 shots he faced to end the team's two-game losing skid against Washington. Serving as Pittsburgh's backup goalie, the 31-year-old has maintained a decent form throughout the season, posting a 14-15-4 record, a 3.11 goals-against-average, and a .907 save percentage. DeSmith is now preparing to face the Detroit Red Wings, who have struggled lately, losing five of their last six games.
