Kenley Jansen Expects To Pitch Before Camp Ends
2 years agoBoston Red Sox closer Kenley Jansen is confident that the lightheadedness that he experienced in his Grapefruit League appearance on Friday night was not due to heart issues he's had in the past and suspects it was simply dehydration. He had been working out in the hot sun in the hours before the game. Jansen would like to pitch again before camp ends, and if he does, he should be just fine for Opening Day next Thursday. Manager Alex Cora didn't express any concerns about the veteran right-handed reliever after he was pulled following his blown save against the Atlanta Braves either, so there isn't really anything to worry about here. Jansen expects to pitch in Sunday's Grapefruit League game.
