Aaron Rodgers Trade Between Jets, Packers "Essentially Done"
2 years agoAccording to Connor Hughes of SNY, the trade between the Packers and Jets surrounding Aaron Rodgers is "essentially done." Although nothing is official, the latest update adds to what most had expected to happen all along, especially with Derek Carr off the table. After winning consecutive MVP awards, Rodgers' production went south in 2022-23, with the signal-caller finishing with 3,695 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Of course, the loss of Davante Adams to the Raiders didn't help, and a young, inexperienced receiving corps caused the 39-year-old to publicly vent his frustrations during the season. With that said, the deal appears as good as finished, so it will be up to Rodgers if he wants to continue playing for a new team.
