2 years agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Mitch Haniger (oblique) is considered day-to-day after suffering an injury ahead of Friday's Cactus League matchup. The right-handed slugger was scratched from the lineup earlier in the day for unknown reasons. It appears Haniger is dealing with oblique tightness, which could hold him out for a few days, according to manager Gabe Kapler. The 32-year-old only managed to play 57 games last season, so hopefully he can stay healthy in 2023. The Giants signed Haniger to a significant three-year deal over the offseason. Hopefully, this is a minor issue and Haniger returns to the lineup soon.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
