Harrison Bader Diagnosed With Left Oblique Strain
2 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Harrison Bader (oblique) has been diagnosed with a left oblique strain in spring training. Manager Aaron Boone said he doesn't have a timeline for Bader yet, but it's safe to assume that he'll start the season on the injured list. Oblique strains can take up to a month to recover from, so fantasy managers need to prepare for the possibility that the 28-year-old center fielder will miss at least several weeks in the season's first month. With Bader set to be sidelined to open up the 2023 campaign, look for Estevan Florial and Oswaldo Cabrera to see more playing time in the outfield for the Yankees. Both Aaron Judge and Aaron Hicks could shift over to center field to replace Bader while he's out.
