Jets Could Take A Quarterback In The Draft
2 years agoIt wouldn't be shocking if the New York Jets took a quarterback in this year's draft, according to sources. It's unlikely that they'd go that route in the first round, though, unless a potential franchise QB fell to them at pick No. 13. A more likely scenario would be them selecting a signal-caller on Day 2 or 3, and the Jets might be in a position to trade back from the 13th overall pick, too, if that pick wasn't moved in a trade to acquire quarterback Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers. The Jets remain high on Zach Wilson and want to continue to develop him, but in a backup role in 2023. It's looking like the Jets will go after either Rodgers -- if he wants to keep playing and wants out of Green Bay -- or Derek Carr as their starting QB next season.
