Tim Anderson Feels "Back To Normal"
2 years agoChicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson (groin) was hitting .356/.393/.503 at the end of May last year while swinging and missing less than ever despite remaining aggressive at the plate. But a groin injury interrupted his hot streak, and he was never able to get back on track. He was unable to re-establish his same leg load and the separation that made his swing so consistent before his injury. Anderson finished with an average over .300 for the fourth straight year, but he hit .249/.287/.290 after the injury. A finger injury ended his season for good in early August. To get back to where he was early in 2022, the 29-year-old worked on his hitting mechanics at Driveline this offseason. "I feel like it got me back to, really, my foundations," Anderson said. When healthy, Anderson is one of the best sources of a high average despite his low walk totals. There's some injury risk, but RotoBaller has him ranked as the No. 10 fantasy SS.
