2 years agoThe Carolina Panthers officially hired Los Angeles Rams assistant head coach/tight ends coach Thomas Brown as their new offensive coordinator on Friday. The Panthers went with Brown after he impressed in his second interview for the job, and it's an important hire for new head coach Frank Reich. The 36-year-oLD Brown spent the last three years with the Rams and was the team's assistant head coach/running backs coach when LA won the Super Bowl two years ago. The Panthers also announced on Friday the hiring of Tem Lukabu as outside linebackers coach, Bert Watts as safeties coach and Devin Fitzsimmons as assistant special teams coach. Brown has spent 12 years as an assistant in the NFL. It's unclear if Reich or Brown will be in charge of calling offensive plays in 2023.
