Aaron Ashby Expected To Miss A Couple Months
2 years agoThe Milwaukee Brewers expect left-hander Aaron Ashby (shoulder) to miss "a couple months" with shoulder inflammation, according to manager Craig Counsell. Ashby was going to be behind the other pitchers in Brewers camp due to a left shoulder issue, and now he's going to miss the first couple months of the 2023 season. It obviously puts a huge dent in the 24-year-old southpaw's fantasy value for the upcoming campaign. Ashby went 2-10 with a 4.44 ERA (4.06 FIP), 1.42 WHIP, one save and 26.5 percent strikeout rate in 27 appearances (19 starts) covering 107 1/3 innings in his second MLB season with the Brew Crew. He's been a disappointment so far, but there remains plenty of strikeout upside once he's back to full health.
