2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy completed four-of-four passes for 23 yards in the Niners' 7-31 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game. The 23-year-old hurt his elbow while taking a hit that caused him to lose the football on his first drive and forced him to leave the game. He returned in the third quarter when No. 4 QB Josh Johnson was removed and checked for a possible concussion. After his return, Purdy, who was still clearly bothered by his injury, only threw two short passes on three drives. He completed both for four yards. It was impressive what the No. 262 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft was able to do as a rookie, but he did not look the same when he was facing pressure deep in the playoffs the past two weeks.--Mitchell Blatt - RotoBaller
