Jets A Potential Landing Spot For Aaron Rodgers?
2 years agoESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Saturday that there's a possibility the Green Bay Packers trade quarterback Aaron Rodgers this offseason. Rodgers' salary cap numbers the next two seasons combined are $48.3 million, which is manageable, but the Packers will likely want at least two first-round picks in return. New York Jets owner Woody Johnson already said he won't spare expenses to land a veteran QB if the opportunity presents itself. It would likely come down to Rodgers accepting a trade to New York, but he could be persuaded if the Jets hire his former offensive coordinator, Nathaniel Hackett. The 39-year-old future Hall of Famer struggled in 2022, but he'd be a bit more interesting with a move to a Jets team that has more explosive offensive pieces already in place.
