Jamal Murray Records His First Triple-Double
2 years agoDenver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray became the team's new triple-double hero Friday against Indiana, finishing a 134-111 win with 17 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists. Nikola Jokic (hamstring), who leads the league with 14 triple-doubles, missed the game, giving more playmaking duties to Murray, and the 25-year-old had an outstanding performance with his first career triple-double. Murray was also extremely efficient with his shooting, going 4-for-8 from the field, 2-for-2 from downtown and 7-for-7 at the foul line. Additionally, this was a third consecutive game for Murray with multiple steals. With averages of 18.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 5.6 assists, Murray has been a very good sidekick for Jokic, and he remains a valuable fantasy asset even if the reigning MVP is back in the mix in the next game.
