Jalen Brunson Continues Scoring Tear With 34 Points
2 years agoNew York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson continued to crush it offensively against Washington on Friday, leading the team with 34 points in a 112-108 victory. He almost pulled off a triple-double as well, grabbing eight rebounds and handing out eight assists. In 40 minutes on the floor, Brunson also had one steal and one block, while shooting 12-for-24 from the field with a 3-for-6 record from behind the arc. The former Maverick is now averaging 33.3 points for 2023. He has been on fire ever since the calendar was turned, and even the presence of Julius Randle and RJ Barrett doesn't seem to bother Brunson. They combined for 40 points Friday. Brunson is perfectly set up to continue his scoring tear Sunday against the Pistons, who are allowing the fourth-most points in the league to opposing point guards this season.
