2 years agoAtlanta Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder hasn't done much since taking over as the starter. Last week the rookie made some impressive throws but only scored 5.7 fantasy points against the Arizona Cardinals. Furthermore, the 5.7 fantasy points were his lowest total of the year. The former Cincinnati Bearcat hasn't scored a touchdown in three games this season. However, Ridder has a limited receiving core with Kyle Pitts (knee) out for the year. This week he faces the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a meaningless matchup for both teams. While the Buccaneers could pull their starters in the second half, fantasy players should start Ridder only as a last resort.--Mike Fanelli
