2 years agoAtlanta Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder will make his first career start in Week 15 against the New Orleans Saints. The Falcons switched to the rookie during the bye week, as Marcus Mariota was placed on the injured reserve list with a knee injury. However, head coach Arthur Smith said he was going to make the change at quarterback regardless of Mariota's injury. The third-round rookie had 56 pass attempts for 431 yards and three touchdowns in the preseason. Meanwhile, the Saints have surrendered 16.9 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season, slightly above the league average. Furthermore, they have given up five passing touchdowns over their past three games. Ridder is a solid mid QB2 for fantasy players in superflex leagues this week.--Mike Fanelli
