Deebo Samuel Dealing With Sprained Knee And Ankle
2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel (ankle, knee) suffered a sprained MCL and a sprained ankle in a scary looking injury that he suffered in the Week 14 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. The good news is that Samuel is expected to return during the regular season. In addition, Samuel was feared to have suffered a high-ankle sprain, but apparently the team believes he'll be ready before the playoffs despite these two injuries. The 26-year-old shouldn't be dropped if you have him rostered, but there's a good chance he won't make much of an impact, if any at all, in the fantasy playoffs. For however long he misses, Brandon Aiyuk, George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey will be heavily utilized, while receivers Jauan Jennings, Ray-Ray McCloud III and rookie Danny Gray will also have elevated roles in the passing game.
