Jared Goff Expected To Remain With Lions
2 years agoDetroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff was viewed as a bridge option for the team coming into the season. He was acquired in part of the Matthew Stafford trade and expected to hold the spot until the team drafts a younger quarterback. However, Goff has certainly exceeded expectations this season with over 3,000 passing yards and 19 touchdowns heading into Week 14. He has the Lions at 5-7 with four straight wins and a chance at making the postseason. It would be silly for the Lions to not consider drafting a future quarterback this offseason. Although, Goff might have done enough to prove he can legitimate handle the quarterback job in Detroit long term.
