Seattle Kraken defenseman Jamie Oleksiak has received a three-game suspension for the NHL's Department of Player Safety. The suspension comes for an illegal check to the head of Washington's Alexander Alexeyev in Friday's 4-1 loss. As a result, Oleksiak will have to sit out Sunday's meeting with Florida, Tuesday's trip to Tampa, and Thursday's matchup versus Carolina. He will be eligible to play again next Sunday against Winnipeg. Oleksiak's suspension means that the Kraken lose a big presence from their defense. The 29-year-old has tallied 52 hits and 38 blocks in 22 appearances, while also chipping in a bit in the attack with four goals and three assists. Carson Soucy is set to replace Oleksiak on the second defensive pairing. He's also a guy who can give fantasy managers plenty of defensive stats but whose offensive play is lacking.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
