Packers Defense Has Streaming Appeal In Week 13
2 years agoThe Green Bay Packers defense will go on the road to face the Chicago Bears in Week 13. The team allowed a season-high 40 points last week against the Philadelphia Eagles, giving up 363 yards on the ground. With injuries piling up, the Green Bay defense has struggled to generate pressure and turnovers, but they could face Bears third-string quarterback Nathan Peterman with Justin Fields (shoulder) and Trevor Siemian (oblique) nursing injuries. Fields was a full participant in practice on Thursday, so he has a shot at playing Sunday. This would make the Packers' defense a less-than-stellar option after they let quarterback Jalen Hurts rack up 157 rushing yards last week. However, if either Siemian or Peterman has to start, Green Bay becomes a solid streaming option with the chance of generating turnovers going way up. At best, the Packers should be considered a low-risk, high-reward streamer in Week 13 but should be moved off of if Fields is active.
