Brandin Cooks Hoping To Get Boost From QB Change
2 years agoHouston Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks has seen his usage trend down this season. After back-to-back weeks with double-digit targets to start the season, Cooks hasn't had more than seven in a game yet, and he's had four catches or fewer in five consecutive games. But there's a little hope this week, as the team has benched quarterback Davis Mills for Kyle Allen. Houston ranks just 26th in the NFL in passing yards per game, so the move to Allen has a decent shot at improving things for the Texans, which could trickle down to Cooks. Consider him a risky WR4 play.
