Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nick Paul (undisclosed) didn't play in the third period against Colorado on Thursday. He soaked in 9:37 of action across the first two periods but didn't feature after the second intermission as Tampa exploded for four goals and turned a 3-2 deficit into a 6-3 win. There weren't any updates on Paul after the game. The 28-year-old boasts 29 points (14 goals, 15 assists) through 55 appearances in 2023-24. Lightning head coach Jon Cooper will need to modify his second line if Paul can't play on Saturday versus Florida, with Austin Watson being the likeliest candidate to fill the opening in the lineup.

Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nick Paul enjoyed a three-point effort on Tuesday night as the Bolts earned a 5-3 victory over the visiting Nashville Predators. The veteran pivot knotted the game at two apiece early in the second period before banging home a rebound midway through the third period, a tally that would stand as the game-winner on opening night. He later assisted on Nikita Kucherov's empty-net goal to seal the victory with just over a second left in the contest. The 28-year-old also added three shots on goal and a blocked shot as part of his 16:12 of ice time on the evening. Paul is coming off a career-high 17-goal season in 2022-23 but is a more useful player to the Lightning than he is to any fantasy rosters as he should be left alone in all formats moving forward.

Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nick Paul (upper body) is expected to be back in the lineup Tuesday against the Avalanche. He has been sidelined for the past two games but looks ready to return for the Stanley Cup Finals rematch. Paul has tallied only two points in his last 11 appearances, but it's been a decent season overall for him as the third-line center with 26 points, 80 shots, 72 hits and 38 blocks registered in 50 games.

Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nick Paul suffered an undisclosed injury in Tuesday's clash with the Sharks, exiting the game in the second period. He managed to log 9:13 of ice time and was plus-one for the game before leaving. Lightning head coach Jon Cooper didn't have any updates on Paul's status after the game. The 27-year-old is currently in the midst of a horrible scoring spell, but he does a lot of good things that won't show on the box score and he will be a big miss for the team if it's a serious injury. In 50 games this season, Paul has recorded 16 goals and 10 assists with 80 shots on goal, 72 hits, 38 blocks and a plus-10 rating.
