Ja Morant Tweaks Ankle On Friday
2 years agoMemphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant had a double-double in Friday's win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, finishing with 19 points and 11 assists while adding seven rebounds. Unfortunately, Morant would exit this one late in the fourth quarter after rolling his left ankle, requiring assistance off the court. He will likely undergo further testing to determine the severity of the injury. However, things don't look promising, so there is a good chance he won't be available on Sunday in Brooklyn. If that's the case, Tyus Jones is expected to replace him in the lineup, with the 26-year-old averaging 20.0 points, 7.5 assists, 2.5 steals, and shooting 44.4% from deep in two starts this season.
