Taylor Heinicke Will Start In Week 11
2 years agoWashington Commanders head coach Ron Rivera announced on Wednesday that quarterback Taylor Heinicke will start in Week 11 against the Houston Texans. Carson Wentz (finger) has been cleared to start throwing, but the team hasn't designated him to return to practice from Injured Reserve. Wentz could end up taking over the starting role eventually, but with Heinicke leading the team to a 3-1 record as the starter, the Commanders aren't in any rush to remove Wentz from Injured Reserve. Heinicke is a gritty and tough football player that his teammates have rallied behind. The 29-year-old signal-caller has thrown for 840 yards, five touchdowns and four interceptions on 121 attempts in his four starts this year. He'll make for a midrange QB2 for fantasy managers this week against the one-win Texans.
