Bears Put Khalil Herbert On Injured Reserve
2 years agoThe Chicago Bears placed running back Khalil Herbert (hip) on Injured Reserve on Tuesday, meaning he'll miss at least the next four games. The Bears also waived defensive end Kingsley Jonathan and claimed defensive back Justin Layne off waivers. Herbert suffered a hip injury in the Week 10 loss to the Detroit Lions that will require him to sit out for the next four games. David Montgomery will continue on as Chicago's primary back, with rookie Trestan Ebner serving as his primary backup moving forward. Herbert had 10 carries for 57 yards before leaving on Sunday and has a healthy 643 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 108 carries while also adding six catches for 62 yards and another TD in 10 games for the Bears this year.
