Robert Tonyan Has Disappointing Fantasy Outing In Week 9
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Robert Tonyan caught three of his four targets, gaining 29 yards, during the team's 15-9 loss to the Detroit Lions. Many streamed the 28-year-old with six teams on bye, but he failed to be the top-scoring fantasy tight end on his own team in the plus matchup against Detroit. Joshua Deguara led the team in receptions catching five passes for 41 yards. The hope that Tonyan would see a target bump was dashed by the Packers opting to use both tight ends in a rotation rather than let Tonyan take the majority of snaps. Dallas is next on the schedule, and they allow the fifth-fewest fantasy points per game to the tight end position. The sixth-year tight end will still be a streaming candidate due to the Green Bay receiver corps losing two more pieces today, but he should still be considered a low-end streamer due to the tough matchup.
