Raheem Mostert Poised For Another Solid Outing

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert remains a fringe top-24 running back in fantasy football heading into Week 9 against the Chicago Bears. On one hand, there is legitimate concern that Tua Tagovailoa will pass the ball so much that there's no opportunity for Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr. to run. However, over the last five weeks, Edmonds is averaging 18.2 touch opportunities, 85.4 scrimmage yards, and 0.4 touchdowns per game. Those are very solid numbers from someone who is only being asked to contribute a FLEX-level floor. Adding to Mostert's allure is a favorable matchup against a Bears run defense that, on a per-game basis, ranks 28th in fantasy points allowed to running backs, 30th in touchdowns allowed to running backs, and 24th in receiving yards allowed to running backs. Furthermore, the Dolphins dumped Chase Edmonds and replaced him with Wilson at the trade deadline. While this could slightly hurt Mostert's rushing volume long-term, it arguably gives Mostert more appeal in the passing game. The bottom line is that Mostert remains a great option for your lineups this week, especially since he provides a relatively high floor.
