Ronnie Rivers Leads Weak Rams Rushing Attack
2 years agoLos Angeles Rams running back Ronnie Rivers was the team's leading rusher, carrying the ball eight times for 21 yards, in the Rams' 14-31 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. He also led all Rams RBs in receiving with four catches for 15 yards on four targets. The 23-year-old saw an expanded role in large part because of an illness that Darrell Henderson Jr. was suffering from during the week. Henderson still played and had a couple more snaps than Rivers, but he didn't touch the ball as much. Malcolm Brown also had five carries. The Rams offense is so ineffective that Rivers has very little fantasy value, even if he were to maintain a small share in this confused backfield.
