Matthew Stafford Scores Rams Only Two TDs In Bad Loss
2 years agoLos Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford completed 22-of-33 passes for 187 yards and a touchdown in the Rams' 14-31 blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers. He also scrambled for a one-yard touchdown on a bootleg rollout. Both touchdowns came in the first half, and the Rams couldn't get anything going in the second half. The return of WR Van Jefferson, who was activated from the IR before the game, didn't help. Jefferson ran 31 routes, fourth-most amongst receivers, and was not targeted. Cooper Kupp rolled his ankle with one minute left and had it taped up at the post-game news conference. If Kupp were to miss time with this ankle injury, an already struggling Rams offense would have no go-to option. With the loss, the Rams drop to third place in the NFC West, 2.5 games behind the division-leading Seattle Seahawks and just 0.5 game ahead of the last-place Arizona Cardinals.
