Terry McLaurin Could See Increased Usage This Week
2 years agoWashington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin could be in line for some increased usage in Week 7. With Carson Wentz out for the next four-to-six weeks, Taylor Heinicke will be taking over as starting quarterback. The former Buckeye has been struggling to see strong usage with Wentz this season, as his target rate is down 10 percent from a year ago. Now, with Heinicke returning to the starting role, there is a chance that the 27-year-old has at least some increase in targets. With his former quarterback returning, McLaurin should be seen as a mid-level WR2 with the possibility to see further opportunities.
