Vaughn Grissom Getting The Start In Game 3
2 years agoAtlanta Braves rookie infielder Vaughn Grissom is starting at second base and is hitting eighth in Game 3 of the National League Division Series against the Philadelphia Phillies and right-hander Aaron Nola on Friday. Orlando Arcia started the first two games of the series at the keystone and was hitless in five at-bats with two walks and a strikeout, so Grissom will get a chance to do something for Atlanta. In his first major-league season, Grissom hit a strong .291/.353/.440 with five home runs, 18 RBI, 24 runs scored and five stolen bases in 156 plate appearances and 41 games. The 21-year-old hit .273 (27-for-99) with three of his five long balls against right-handers in 38 games in 2022.
