Ezekiel Elliott Likely To Continue His High-Volume Role
2 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott should continue in his high-volume role in a Week 6 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Elliott has been soundly outplayed by Tony Pollard in most games going back to last season, but Elliott remains the starter and the 1a in the Dallas backfield. He ran 22 times for 78 scoreless yards in Week 5, averaging just 3.5 yards per carry and unable to rip off any long runs. Meanwhile, Pollard out-gained Elliott and scored a touchdown on just eight touches. Elliott will be a volume-based RB3 with some touchdown upside since he's likely to see goal line work.
