Brian Robinson Responding Well To Ramped-Up Drills
2 years agoWashington Commanders running back Brian Robinson (leg) is impressing head coach Ron Rivera with his response to his ramped-up rehab process. Robinson will be out of action for a minimum of two more games, but his progress is encouraging considering how quickly he is improving. Antonio Gibson has been handling work as the primary ball carrier in his absence, but we could be looking at a pretty evenly split backfield once Robinson is in game shape. The Commanders' coaching staff has said they would like to get Gibson in space more, so Robinson could handle duties as a ball carrier while Gibson, who was a wide receiver in college, handles more of a pass-catching role. Robinson can be stashed on benches until his return to action.
