Freddy Peralta Could Return This Weekend
2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers skipper Craig Counsell said that right-hander Freddy Peralta (shoulder) could return from the injured list to rejoin the starting rotation this weekend against the Cincinnati Reds. Peralta is currently listed as TBA for Sunday's contest. The 26-year-old has been out since Sept. 8 when he began experiencing fatigue in his right shoulder. But it sounds like he's nearing a return to the Brewers' rotation, and he can help fantasy managers down the stretch. Before his injury, Peralta was 4-3 with a 3.45 ERA (3.07 FIP), a 1.02 WHIP and a 76:25 K:BB in 70 1/3 innings over his 15 starts for the Brew Crew. The Reds would also be a nice return matchup, although it's unclear if Peralta would be on a limited pitch count in his first start back.
