Jake Kumerow Has Two Catches Monday Night
2 years agoBuffalo Bills wide receiver Jake Kumerow saw additional playing time in Monday's 41-7 rout of the Tennessee Titans in Week 2 with Gabe Davis (ankle) inactive. Kumerow played 78 percent of the offensive snaps and caught two of his three targets for 50 yards in the blowout victory. Isaiah McKenzie and veteran Jamison Crowder are both slot receivers, so if Davis or Stefon Diggs miss any more time this year with injuries, it will likely be Kumerow, and not rookie Khalil Shakir, benefitting on the outside. The 30-year-old pass-catcher has been in Buffalo for the last three years, so he should have pretty good grasp of their offense and chemistry with quarterback Josh Allen. However, he's not worth a waiver-wire pickup with Davis likely to return in Week 3.
